Detroit Kindred History

Once the hub of the United States' automotive manufacturing, Detroit, Michigan has become a shell of its former industrial self. Detroit is valuable territory for the Sabbat despite its economic woes, and the sect seeks to revitalize the city with a shift in industrial focus. With one of the highest murder rates in the United States, Detroit (which has been known as "the murder capital of the US") provides ample feeding grounds for its dwellers. Unlike some of their brethren to the south, the Sabbat of Detroit do not concentrate on capturing neighboring Camarilla cities. Rather, the city's vampires focus on bolstering the flagging fortunes of their home. After all, the Sabbat must have the proper resources if it is to launch a successful attack.

That was then, this is now.

Detroit, Michigan has become a contested city. For many years, decades, the Sabbat held dominance of the Motor City. But, only a year ago, the Camarilla, lead by the Brujah Darien, followed in the footsteps of the acquisition of New York. But something went terribly wrong.

The Camarilla sat back while the Sabbat continued to amass power. Prince Darien went missing and still nothing more was being done. A last moment effort was sent in by the Camarilla, with the aid of the Dux Bellorum, plans were put into action.

With the arrival of the Dux Bellorum, a strong hold was place over the city. It not only affected the Sabbat but the Camarilla as well. Curfews were put into action. Clubs that were frequented by the lower and middle class, shut down. The Detroit Police Department faced its first investigation by the Internal Affairs. The tunnel between Detroit and Windsor faced even more troubles for those Kindred seeking to cross the border.

Then lastly, the power outage would be the time the Camarilla would strike. With the cover of darkness, Kindred battle took place. During the day, Ghouls struck the haven of known Sabbat. Pulling these Kindred out into the purifying light. This lasted for four days and nights until at last, the Camarilla, having lost a fair number of their own during this battle, came out victorious.

Now, with the Elders leaving the city not interested in claiming power, or remaining behind to aid their own clans. A Kindred has stepped forth, believing that the city would be a great addition to the Camarilla and that the Neonates only need to be given the chance to prove their worth. Neonates have begun to make their way to Detroit, Michigan with goals of making a name for themselves in this newly acquired city.

But the Camarilla is waiting. Will this Prince do as the former? Will the Camarilla sit back and once more, do nothing and allow the City to fall to the enemy? A battle has been waged once for the city and the Justicars are more than willing to lock the city down once and for all.

The Independent Clans have even begun to arrive within Detroit. Seeking to make a name and hold for dominance as well. There is even rumors of the Anarchs making their way to a fresh new city.

As for the Sabbat, they may be down but not defeated. With Montreal right across the border. Those who did survive the seige of the Camarilla retreated back to the Sabbat stronghold. But there has been rumor of a few others who still hide within Detroit, watching and waiting for a chance to strike back. Perhaps they are the cause of so many Kindred disappearances from their havens and from the streets. Perhaps they are the cause of many of the homeless disappearing into the night.

Rumors still commence, not of the Sabbat. Not of the Anarchs. But of a creature or creatures that stalks the night and hunts those that are the hunters. Even more still, a fanatical cult is believed to be aiding those who hunts the hunters. And still, many whisper about these being the Final Nights
